  7. SmartAss is yet another fortune program, but it's the best!

  9. SmartAss was originally written in annoyment over another
  10. fortune-program I found, WiseCrack. The program was written in C
  11. and both its random-number generator and speed was terrible. It
  12. wasn't meant to be the project it has become today. WiseCrack had
  13. originally 2393 fortunes, and to tell you the truth it sort of
  14. came out of control. SmartAss possessed me, and when my datafile
  15. counted over 19000 fortunes I realised I had made a MONSTER!
  16. (Spooky orchestral music here!) SmartAss offers you the following

  19.         * The largest fortunecollection known to man. (19758!)
  20.         * Compatibility with SmartAss for Unix, DOS and Windows,
  21.           written by Sveinar Rasmussen.
  22.         * Really fast fortune-fetching due to hash-tables.

  24.         * Has a continously updating fortunefile. (Available on
  25.           AmiNet!)
